Archival Remembrance:
Sister Lucinda brought to her religious life a joyous maturity which served as an excellent foundation for the dedicated life which she was to later profess. Her happy disposition made her a delightful companion, endearing her to all. In her mission labors she attracted many young ladies to religious life, and their high esteem of her grew with the years of close association in the community. Perhaps, her most difficult assignment was to pioneer our apostolate in North Carolina. It was a task which called for brave leadership, great tolerance, and devoted charity. She made herself loved by all, winning the hearts of the people whose life was different from her own. She served our Congregation in our schools, catechetical centers, and hospitals. Always she was a gracious lady, a gentle, friendly Sister striving to lighten the tasks of others and to bring joy to their lives. May God abundantly reward our dear Sister Lucinda.
