On Thursday, May 9, the Marywood University Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation (TRHT) Center was renamed in honor of Mother Theresa Maxis, IHM.

The dedication took place outside of the TRHT Center located on the second floor of the Learning Commons.

The vision of the TRHT Center, initiated through a partnership with the American Association of Colleges and Universities and funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, is to prepare the next generation of leaders to confront racism and to dismantle the belief in a hierarchy of human value. The renaming will honor the lifelong work of Mother Theresa Maxis, IHM in promoting justice, service to the poor, and a pioneering spirit. Both emphasize deep faith and a commitment to creating a more equitable and compassionate world.
