Sister Catherine Maria Sitjá y Balbastro, IHM

Sister Catherine Maria Sitjá y Balbastro professed perpetual vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience as a member of the IHM Sisters at a Eucharistic celebration on September 6 at the IHM Center in Scranton. Sister Catherine (Katie), a native of Argentina, entered the IHM Congregation in 1999 and has served in various ministries in Pennsylvania and New York. Currently, Sister Katie serves as the Coordinator of Volunteers at Encore Community Services in New York, N.Y. She resides at St. Ann's Convent in Harlem.
